Before- and after-school programs serve children ages 5–12 in a safe, enriching, child-centered environment that encourages exploration of their interests and talents. Programs are designed to be both engaging and supportive, giving children opportunities to learn, play, and grow. Y CARE maintains a strong commitment to safety and quality supervision with a 1:15 staff-to-student ratio. All team members meet or exceed state licensing requirements to ensure high standards of care. DCYF subsidy is accepted, and financial assistance is available to help make the program accessible for families.

Find the best camp experience for your family with YMCA Seasonal Day Camp, offered during spring break, winter break, and summer break. These programs provide children with exciting, structured days full of adventure. Led by experienced staff, YMCA day camps offer many of the same benefits as traditional camp, including outdoor exploration, skill-building opportunities, and the chance to form lasting friendships. Each day is designed to keep campers engaged through a variety of activities such as athletics, arts and crafts, STEM experiences, and more.
The Youth Experience Program gives your child a new opportunity every 30 days to experience, explore, and engage in something new. Each month, children participate in structured, skill-based classes designed to introduce new activities in a fun and supportive environment. Offerings include classes such as ballet, tumbling, and T-ball, along with a variety of homeschool offerings during the school year specifically designed for homeschooled children. These opportunities help kids stay active, build foundational skills, and explore a variety of interests.
The THRIVE Program is a free opportunity for middle school students to learn new skills, build friendships, and explore their interests through engaging, hands-on experiences. This program is offered daily during the summer and after school during the school year, a few times a week. Open to all OSD middle school students regardless of school, the program is held at Thurgood Marshall Middle School, with families responsible for arranging transportation. Students participate in student-driven activities led by community partners, including mentors, professionals, and creatives, with experiences in STEM, sports, arts, and more. THRIVE supports academic growth, builds leadership skills, and creates a welcoming space where students can belong, grow, and thrive.
